Sac Dance Company is the city’s hottest commercial performance team! Established in 2017, SDC is determined to put Sacramento dancers on the map by appearing at the city’s top events including Crocker ARTMIX, Sac Pride, Best of Sacramento, Our Street Night Market and more. Kristian is a former Company member and is in his second season as a team coach. He is also in his second-season as a member of Blue Crew, the all-male dance team for the Golden State Warriors.

Joyce is a Sacramento native in her 6th season as a company member and second as a coach. She graduated from Sacramento State with her BA in Dance and was the Honor student of the department in 2020-21. She began dancing at the age of 8 with Traditional Hmong Dance. She expanded into Korean pop and hip hop in high school and in college trained in jazz, contemporary and ballet. Her choreographic work, ‘ She’s Not Okay’, in college was chosen to represent Sac State at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) conference in 2020. Joyce is a versatile mover and incorporates everything she has learned as a dancer into her choreographic work and how she moves as a dancer.

Noemi Tejeda has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She has been on company for 3 seasons is a Sacramento native. After getting her bachelors degree in dance she has continued to perform with teams like SDC and many more. While in college, she choreographed for her former high school dance team and was happy with her work being able to go on stage. She has also been able to create and co-lead a K-pop dance team called “Aperentia”. She hopes to have more opportunities to create, perform and train in the future.

This is Trinity Santa Cruz’s first year in Sac Dance Company. She grew up in Dixon California dancing and training at Dixon Dance Studio. Starting in high school she started traveling with a dance convention/competition called LA Dance Magic as a company member and still trains and travels with them now! To achieve her goal of being a professional dancer, she’s continuing her training through Sac Dance Lab and LADM to then hopes to move on to a professional commercial dance program.

Lia began dancing with Encore dance company where she was trained in ballet & musical theatre for 8 years. After a long hiatus, Lia started again training in the bay area at city dance sf & with Simma Wear, a pro dance training program. Which led to her to making her first semi- pro team with IFL team, Bay Area Panthers. Lia now continues to train in Sac with local studios, primarily KG stilettos & Sac Dance Lab. Lia is currently on her first season with SDL’s professional company team, Sac Dance Co.

Reylina is currently on her 6th season with Sac Dance Company. Sacramento is her hometown and she has trained all over. Reylina is the former director of Command Dance Crew and instructor for Sac Dance Lab’s Level Up program, and is currently a regular instructor teaching beginner hip hop to adults. She has also been a member of different training groups around Sacramento including Boogie Monstarz and Sac Modern. She is also an in-demand local choreographer and instructor for both youth and adult dance training.

Born in Sac, this is Immauri’s first year on company. He has trained for 14 years in styles such as hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, and tap. His favorite styles include hip hop, modern, open, and voguing. He loves to choreograph and has had wonderful opportunities to choreograph for others, the latest being his high school’s alumni piece. He loves all the arts, painting and making music especially, but dance is at the top for him.

This is Micaela’s first year on Sac Dance Company. She grew up in the Roseville/Sacramento area and has been dancing ever since she was 7 years old. Her training began at Step 1 Dance & Fitness in 2007, where she trained in many different genres like hip hop, jazz, tap, and ballet. Following her time at Step 1 Dance & Fitness, Micaela has had extensive training in ballet, modern dance and contemporary jazz during her time at NCDC. She has also been a member of a couple of school dance teams and has had the opportunity to choreograph several performance pieces for one of the dance teams as Co-Captain.

This is Nicole’s 2nd season on Sac Dance Company. She grew up in Sacramento but lived in Arizona during high school and has returned for college. She never formally trained in dance but has been doing it in some form for most of her life. From pre-school ballet, to an elementary hip hop team, to self taught kpop dance covers, to choreographing jazz for her high school dance concert, she’s explored many styles but is thrilled for everything she’s yet to learn.

This is Shyla’s 3rd season with Sac Dance Co and previously she spent one season with Sac Dance Lab’s Unity performance training team. Shyla was born in Sacramento and has trained with local studios since she was young and even danced competitively in high school. She has some experience choreographing and teaching for small projects and studios and she hopes to find more opportunities to pursue in the future.
